100 Years of solitude. Mathematical backgrounds and dissecting landscapes are the kind of things i'm exploring with this project at the moment again experimenting with cut throughs, seeing what kind of patterns and depth of image i can make by using this technique.
Cutting through my sketchbook so that there is also a nice aesthetic quality to my work- giving the images a vibe of a scrapbook or a photo album when you see the images first hand.
Using negative space throughout my imagery to enhance the image- the space in the image being a metaphor for a gap that need to be filled, an emptiness.
Vivienne Bloom- part of my authorial project trying to communicate melancholy and sadness throughout this part of my work.

The images that i'm creating at the moment show my love of photography and this preservation of age that i love to show in my work...this oldness and nostalgia. Pulling things apart and making in a clever and aesthetically pleasing way are what i enjoy doing in my practice.

As i go into my third year, i have many interests which i am trying to pull together for my work at the moment. Appropriation, use of found imagery. A lot of my work tends to come out with a strong nostalgic feel which interests me but i'm also interested in merging this style with my love of architectural structures and the space that surrounds them.
Manipulated through photoshop to give a completely different edge on the original context of the illustrations i was producing.

I have a passion with experimenting with not only the objects i'm trying to communicate but the space around these objects too. Block colour, heavy line and an understanding of space can have thousands of meanings and really illustrate what you're trying to say.
This was one of my really enjoyable projects, where i was able to get a real enjoyment for screen printing and experimenting with my love of space and dissecting imagery.

This is some of my more recent art works looking at space around objects, different materials, collecting imagery and using it in a more appropriative sense.
Here are a few stills from my animation that i thought made really interesting compositions.

My animation that i made for the end of my year 2 progression.
For the next project i decided to narrate the "physicality of death" in a less obvious way which led me further into enjoying photography and i then began screen-printing and dissecting imagery.
After this project i realised that one of my interests lie deep within photography and the effects you can get out of a really well thought of picture.
With book design/sculpture you can create so many meanings within one single art work.
Combination of a cut out book into a downward spiral and projecting an image through the smallest hole.
The theme for this project was "downward spiral" so this i made and covered in wax to experiment with different textures. Putting it on  light-box gave an interesting outcome.
